Today I had two Strada HVAC technicians come to my home by my request because after my last maintenance check (at the beginning of November) my thermostat was reading 70° and it was reading 70° 24 hours a day. This was prior to Thanksgiving that it was showing the 70°. It showed 70° for several days when I just knew that the temperature inside my house was not 70°.

I program my thermostat to 68°for heat and 78° for air conditioning and at this time, I had the thermostat and system in heat mode. Over the Thanksgiving day it was hot and I wanted to turn on the air conditioning again so I looked at my thermostat. It said that it was 73° in my house, but I knew it was way hotter. I switched it out of heat mode and into air conditioning mode and when I did that my thermostat reading went from 73° to 76° in a second or two which made me definitely realize that something was wrong with the thermostat itself.

The next day or so I called and scheduled an appointment to have somebody come out and take a look at it. Additionally, several days later I was up having coffee trying to wake up before I got ready to go to work, and the heat was on, and the outside fan was running, but towards the end of the cycle, when the fan outside stops, it made a loud bang and a loud hiss sound that scared the living daylights out of me and caused major concern for me so I ran out and took a look.

The fan and system kicked on again, but the fan didn’t spin this time. The system ran for approximately 45 seconds and then shut off again. It did it twice and then the third time it came on, the fan and everything operated like normal. So, I called back Strada and added this problem to my concern list.

Today two technicians showed up. I discussed all the problems with them. They calibrated it and did a hard reset on it (my thermostat has this option). Both technicians were absolutely phenomenal. They listened to my concerns. They immediately told me that what I heard the fan do was normal and they explained why it made that sound (it was normal it was in defrost, the temperature outside that morning was 31°)

They recalibrated the thermostat and did a reset on it and everything checked out good. I will keep an eye on it and if anything goes wrong with it again I will just have them come back to replace the thermostat. My technicians today were Todd Allen Hunt and Adriel Ndrecaj.

Both of these technicians were absolutely positively phenomenal!!! They broke things down, very simply for me. They explained things to me about what I heard, and what I was seeing, and they ran tests. They did calibrations they did resets. They were absolutely and completely thorough.

I am extremely grateful for their professionalism, their knowledge, their expertise and the time they took when they were here. I also appreciated their professional advice, and I’m so happy that I got these technicians to come today because they were absolutely positively phenomenal.

They did not try to sell me anything or blow smoke up my backside. They were straightforward, very professional. They were teaching me things and educating me on stuff and I so sincerely appreciate it. We need more technicians like these guys. They’re not out to get you.

They came here, I told him the problems, they did their job and my problems were solved. I’m so glad that I have Strada for my HVAC technicians. I had another company in Jacksonville when I owned my single-family home several years ago, and I will personally say from my own personal experience between the two, that Strada is phenomenal and I’m so glad that I have them. This is only my opinion from my personal experiences so I cannot speak to others experiences, but I’m a happy customer today and so far since I’ve had them as my go to HVAC company. Thank you Strada.
